NATIONAL DOODLE DAY
Friday, March 7th is NATIONAL DOODLE DAY 2008!
Friday, March 7th is the start of our auction of celebrity doodles on Ebay – and this year we again have some marvellous doodles on offer!
This will be your opportunity to acquire a picture drawn by one or more of your favourite people, stars of the stage and screen, sportsmen and women, artists, singers – you name it, they have taken part in our 2008 event and we are extremely grateful to everyone for their support.
Why don’t you check out the website and have a look: www.nationaldoodleday.org.uk – there are several hundred already and I have no doubt many more will be added every day from now until the auction itself.
You can also vote, by text, for your favourite celebrity; the public’s favourite will be awarded the prestigious ‘Dood’ award – check out the website for full details!
On Friday, March 7th, we also hope both individuals and schools will be enjoying the event. Individuals can get their cards from branches of Lloydspharmacy, where they should be found on their counters from March 5th until April 1st – a long time to get your support! As the card has a barcode, all you need to do to pick up a card and pay £1 at the till - through this barcode, Lloydspharmacy will know how much money has been donated to the event and will transfer the funds when the cards are removed on 1st April.
Prizes for schools have been donated by BIC Stationery Products, who are also planning a large ‘doodling’ event to coincide with NATIONAL DOODLE DAY with, we hope, all the attendant publicity not only for National Doodle Day but also for Epilepsy Action and for The Neurofibromatosis Association, the two charities that benefit from this fun and entertaining fundraiser.
