The Feel Good Fashion Show is on the 4th October at either 7.15pm or 8.30pm and is showcasing the new Autumn/Winter collection from well known online retailer Lovestretch.com. Lovestretch.com specialise in ‘stretchwear’, blending fashionable daywear and design, with the ability to move, stretch and exercise. The evening is being hosted by the well known Dr Hilary Jones with clothes modelled by Dee Thresher, personal trainer to the stars and fitness expert. Basingstoke Dance Academy will be performing throughout the event.
All monies raised from the evening will be going to support Macmillan Cancer Support. Throughout 2010 Macmillan hopes to raise £122 million, £539,000 in Hampshire alone, to provide more specialist Macmillan nurses, essential cancer services and high-quality information to ensure no on living with cancer goes without the support they need. 99% of Macmillan’s funds come from voluntary donations and these vital pounds support our medical, emotional, financial and practical work helping thousands of cancer patients and their families. Three courses, Three locations, One Safari Supper
Saturday 9th October, 7.30-11.00pm
Come and join us for a lively evening of fun and entertainment
The safari supper is a meal in which people move to a different house for each course. Each couple hosts two other couples for one course (starter, main or dessert) and travels to two other places for the other courses.
Each couple will dine at three homes with a total of six other couples; no couples should meet twice in the same evening (unless passing in the street between courses!). The evening ends with a nightcap at a central venue, yet to be decided.

Hook Eagle Morris Men invite all-comers to try their hand at Morris Dancing at St John’s Church hall at 8pm on Friday October 15th and have a pint on us!
This will be a fun and friendly way to meet the team and find out if Morris Dancing is for you!
Morris dancing is a great way to make new friends, perform to an amazed public at pubs fetes and festivals, enjoy fresh-air, exercise and drink beer!
We will be teaching new dancers, and practicing our dances and music from October to April before embarking on our new summer dance season.
Our Winter Dance season begins with Apple Day at The Vyne, National Trust Property at Sherborne St John, Nr Basingstoke on Saturday October 16th at 1pm. We will also be performing at Hook School’s Firework Display on November 6th, the Hook Christmas Cracker on Friday December 3rd as well as dancing on Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and of course the amazing Hartley Wintney Wassail on Friday January 7th.
2011 will be Hook Eagle Morris Men’s 20th year, an amazing feat, and we now have more dancers from Hook than for many years. We expect to have some great events next year and really need new dancers to join us now to make sure we can continue this well respected and very popular Morris Dancing tradition.
No experience is required to come along to our taster evening, if we can do it – you can do it! A warm and friendly welcome is guaranteed.
