National Armed Forces Day and Blues and Booze in the Bury 2010.

by Peter Fountain on Thursday 4th March

Armed Forces LogoWe are now in our fourth year and the format is set in stone with National Armed Forces Day and a Heroes Parade in the High street every other year. In the alternate years the focus will be on National Armed Forces Day and the schools, Leapfrogs, Long Sutton, Buryfields, Mayhill and Robert Mays.

There will also be representations from local charities such as the Neurofibromatosis Association and the Services Charities such as SAAFA.

Leapfrogs being very little will be seated in position in front of the stage and the other four schools will march in from the four corners of the Bury with a band playing to form up behind them. The Armed Forces and Cadets will also be present. A ceremony will take place followed by a flypast.

Blues and Booze then commences at 1200 noon and runs until 1800.Please support National Armed Forces Day and our wonderful local schools on Saturday the 26th of June.
