The Odiham Jazz Weekend, which has become a predominant in the North Hampshire social calendar, is now set to provide important funds to the Odiham Cottage Hospital Redevelopment Trust (OCHRE) as well as continuing to support the Neurofibromatosis Association (NfA).

‘A’ list vocalist Lee Gibson and Frank Holder (1st singer with the John Dankworth Band) both join some of the finest Jazz Musicians to play at this year’s Odiham Jazz Weekend. Saturday evening Robert Mays School Old Boy, Royal Academy of Music graduate and featured tenor with the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra Richard Shepherd (pictured) and the Dave Newton Trio are also joined by Alan Barnes, Steve Waterman, Mark Nightingale, and more to perform straightahead jazz and bebop.

For more information about Richard and his music visit his website at www.myspace.com/richardshepherd.

Sunday lunchtime Jazz is definitely a family affair with the RAF providing an excellent BBQ (with a vegetarian option). The Phil Brown Swingtet and The Peter Clancy Band play traditional and mainstream jazz.
